Stephen Lackaye is from Poughkeepsie, New York. He has degrees from the University of Southern California, the University of Edinburgh, and the Johns Hopkins University. He lives in Oregon with his wife and daughters, and works for Powell’s Books.
Stephen’s poetry has appeared in numerous journals in print and online. His work has been honored with multiple nominations for the Pushcart Prize and Best New Poets. He’s been a finalist for Best of the Net, and was the recipient, in 2007, of a New Writer’s Award from the Scottish Arts Council.
His first full-length collection, Self-Portrait in Dystopian Landscape, won the 2015 Unicorn Press First Book Prize, and was published in November 2016. It has been a finalist for an Eric Hoffer Award and for an Oregon Book Award.
